ARMOUR-Zen® was applied 3 days prior to inoculation. Treatments were done in a greenhouse and terrace grown plants. Results showed that treatment did not significantly influence the severity of disease, however there was a significant interaction observed between variety and treatment. Variety significantly affected the severity of Botrytis.
Plants grown outside on the terraces were more robust than greenhouse grown plants. There was a significant effect of treatment, variety and their interaction on the severity of disease.
Results concluded that there is a strong variety effect on the effectiveness of treatments to control Botrytis but there is also a high variability between treatments which may be attributed to plant growth. However, ARMOUR-Zen® has the potential to control Botrytis.
